President John Adsit is a career educator. He started as a classroom teacher where he became known for experimenting constantly with instructional methodology, always seeking out the best ways to help student achieve. He eventually moved into the central administration of one of the largest school districts in the nation, with the task of helping design new curriculum consistent with developing content standards and the newest thinking in instructional design and teaching teachers how to use these innovative instructional approaches.

While in that role in 1995, he designed his first online education course, an advanced English class designed for students who had already complete Advanced placement classes and had no more challenging classes int he regular curriculum. Within a few years he was the school district's liaison to an online school consortium, after which he founded and administered one of the first full time online public schools in America. During that time he co-founded Colorado Online Learning and the Colorado Cyberschool Association.

Following his retirement from public education, he worked for years as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Executive manager of Curriculum for one of the largest online education providers in America. He now uses those experiences to help guide new programs in the development and management of their own programs.
